Summer Travel - Preview

I'm disappointed I never finished writing about our Christmas adventure. Hmmm. Must tend to that at some point.

In the meanwhile, here's the plan for the 2019 vacation. It's the epic Johnson family road trip.

It will put our 2014 circle tour of the Great Lakes to shame. 

The toughest call we had to make was carving a day out of St. Louis to buy a day in Omaha. Omaha, apparently, is home to an outstanding zoo. Sherry and I figure, though, that the chances of getting back to St. Louis at some point in the future is fairly high, so we'll settle for one day of seeing the best of that city on foot and preserve three days for Kansas City. 

The ultimate destination is Theodore Roosevelt National Park, which has been on my bucket list for a long time. 

The end of the trip isn't finalized yet, though a stop in Minneapolis or Chicago may be in the cards. We'll likely have to put Sherry on a plane so she can return to work.
