I'm taking some joy collecting photographs as the kind of dad who makes his kids' eyes roll when, in the future, they see photos from vacations like this.

One source of pride. On the way up the Incline most of the other travelers were verbalizing their nervousness that the train was going to break free. They raced off the car when it docked up above. Sam, however, was willing to wait long enough to take a photo with me.
Tomorrow, I'm going to try to sneak in a visit to
Mt. Davis after our trip to Fallingwater. That might be the most obscure, trivial place a dad could take his family.
